What You’ll Do as a LEADS Infrastructure Services Specialist 4

• Lead IT driven change efforts; participate in &/or lead activities to achieve LEADS project tasks/meet deadlines.
• Work with NSS, architects & IT Managers to design network architecture for agency applications.
• Assist business units in the analysis of solution designs.
• Work with vendors, other specialists & agencies to solve integration problems.

• Answer questions & present formal mentorship opportunities to peers &/or lower-level staff via conversation, observation or technical documentation., This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency. Background Check Information

• A BCI and FBI fingerprint check, a background check, including a polygraph examination, may be required on all selected applicants.
• A comparative analysis and/or drug-test may be a requirement of the hiring process.

60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Network Hardware (Router/Switch, WAN)). Option 2

• Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems;

AND 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Network Hardware (Router/Switch, WAN)). Option 3

• Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems;

AND 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current it policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Network Hardware (Router/Switch, WAN)). * Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
