Job description

  • Maintain and update medication records, formularies, and NDC mappings within the Epic Willow system
  • Build, test, and optimize medication workflows to support safe and efficient ordering, dispensing, and administration
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, and IT teams to resolve medication-related system issues
  • Ensure medication data aligns with regulatory, safety, and billing requirements
  • Support medication shortage management by updating alternatives, substitutions, and inventory details in Epic
  • Participate in system upgrades, validation testing, and ongoing optimization projects
  • Monitor medication-related help desk tickets and provide timely troubleshooting and resolution
  • Assist with order set maintenance and clinical decision support updates related to medications
  • Maintain documentation for medication build standards, workflows, and change control processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with active state licensure
  • 3+ years of pharmacy experience in inpatient, outpatient, or specialty settings
  • 3+ years of prior experience with Epic Willow or other EHR medication management systems
  • 2+ years of understanding of medication terminology, dosing, formulations, and pharmacy workflows
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing data, troubleshoot system issues, and apply critical thinking to complex medication builds
  • 1+ years of familiarity with regulatory standards such as USP, Joint Commission, and DEA requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system testing, validation, or IT change management processes

The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
