Job description
We’re seeking a Senior Agentforce Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement secure, scalable AI solutions on the Salesforce platform in support of mission-critical public sector and DoD environments. This role extends beyond routine platform maintenance; you’ll build scalable Apex and Lightning-based solutions, deploy Agentforce agents and custom actions, and integrate Salesforce with enterprise systems to support government business needs. Throughout, you’ll apply best practices to ensure high-quality, secure, and performant implementations. Working closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Project Managers, you’ll deliver tailored, compliant Salesforce AI solutions for government agencies while mentoring junior staff., * Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, OmniStudio, and other code-based Salesforce technologies.
- Design, build, and deploy Agentforce agents and custom agent actions to automate service and business processes.
- Develop custom actions using Apex, Flow, and prompt templates to extend agent capabilities beyond standard functionality.
- Configure agent topics, instructions, and guardrails to ensure accurate, secure, and compliant agent behavior.
- Ground agents in enterprise data sources to improve response relevance and accuracy.
- Test, evaluate, and refine agent performance based on results.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and QA testers to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Develop efficient and scalable code following best practices and industry standards.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug Salesforce applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for enhancing development processes and applications.

Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must possess an interim Secret security clearance or higher.
- Must demonstrate experience supporting Salesforce platform(s) within Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of general work experience.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- At least 3-5 years of experience with OmniScript, and FlexCards, with the ability to design and lead technical design sessions.
- Three (3) years of experience developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages.
- Full-stack engineering experience (proficient in database development/integration), including three (3) years deploying Salesforce production enterprise applications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying Agentforce agents and custom actions.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public sector experience or multiple Salesforce project implementation experiences.
- Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience focusing on development projects using DevOps, Salesforce configuration, and/or Apex programming.
- Experience with prompt engineering and prompt templates within Salesforce (e.g., Prompt Builder).
- Familiarity with grounding agents in enterprise data sources such as Data Cloud.
Key Skills
- Strong expertise in the Salesforce platform and applications, with a deep understanding of development best practices and standards.
- Proficiency in Apex and declarative tools such as Flow and OmniStudio.
- Proficiency with the Agentforce platform, including Agent Builder, agent topics, and custom action development.
- Familiarity with front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex requirements and design efficient solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Benefits & conditions
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Agentforce Salesforce Developer: $120,000 - $160,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
