Job description
Own SevOne platform configuration: polling policies, threshold groups, alert policies, device groups, discovery profiles, reporting
Configure ICMP polling with confirmation logic (consecutive failures)
Define and maintain device-class-based threshold profiles
Implement flap detection and alert consolidation mechanisms
Tune interface performance thresholds (utilization, errors, discards, packet loss)
Manage monitoring for WAN, campus, and data center infrastructure
Configure BGP adjacency alerting with hold-down timers
Lead root cause analysis for recurring network and circuit issues
Design and maintain SevOne operational dashboards
Define and implement monitoring methods (SNMP, traps, WMI, agent-based)
Maintain device lifecycle within SevOne (onboarding/offboarding)
Manage SevOne-PagerDuty integration (webhooks, payloads, severity mapping)
Implement alert routing based on device class and criticality
Implement alert deduplication and consolidation rules
Requirements
Strong experience in IBM SevOne administration and configuration
Strong knowledge of network protocols (BGP, SNMP, ICMP)
Experience with enterprise network monitoring (WAN, DC, campus)
Experience integrating monitoring tools with PagerDuty/ServiceNow
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
