Job description
An employer in the Dayton, Ohio, area is seeking a TS/SCI Systems Administrator for an ongoing contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will support mission-critical AI and data platform initiatives within a U.S. Air Force environment, helping to maintain and optimize the Arango platform in secure classified and air-gapped environments. Responsibilities include supporting Kubernetes deployments, troubleshooting platform and infrastructure issues, assisting with data integration efforts, and ensuring reliable day-to-day operations of the platform. The candidate will also develop and support technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept solutions, work directly with government engineers to resolve technical challenges, and contribute to training, knowledge transfer, and documentation of operational best practices. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with senior engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues while supporting mission users across multiple
Requirements
intelligence and analytics programs. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to work onsite with the customer approximately two weeks per month., Active TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor’s degree. 5-7+ years of experience in one or more of (Solutions Engineering, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Technical Consulting) Kubernetes experience Linux experience Python or SQL experience Strong customer-facing communication skills. Experience designing technical architectures.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Graph database experience. AI/LLM ecosystem knowledge. GraphRAG or Retrieval-Augmented Generation experience. DoD or Intelligence Community experience. Experience supporting mission systems within classified environments. Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, Helm, or secure Kubernetes deployments.
