Job description

  • Network Maintenance & Support: Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and internet systems. Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 network and software support requests, as well as break/fix issues.
  • Architecture & Upgrades: Assist in designing, configuring, and deploying new or replacement network hardware, communications infrastructure, and campus network extensions.
  • Monitoring & Tuning: Monitor network utilization, availability, and traffic to proactively identify faults, perform capacity planning, and enhance overall performance.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Assess existing network infrastructure against cybersecurity best practices. Assist in implementing security controls, threat hunting, and mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation & Inventory: Maintain up-to-date project, architecture, inventory, and change management documentation.
  • Field & User Support: Support field maintenance teams with communications implementation and troubleshooting. Provide user support, training, and clear technical communication to team members and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on networking experience to join our Transportation Operations Center team.

This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who brings solid technical expertise, creativity, and strong multi-tasking abilities to manage medium-complexity infrastructure projects and support daily operations. The ideal candidate will have leadership qualities, a strong technical foundation, and a drive for long-term professional growth., * Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration (including LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routers, and firewalls).

  • Education & Credentials: A 4-year degree in a relevant field and/or industry certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrates leadership potential, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor or guide junior specialists.
  • Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of working effectively in a team environment., * General Information Technology (Required 10 Years)
