Job description
- Install, configure, maintain, and support LAN, WAN, and Internet network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and utilization to ensure reliable operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 network and software support requests.
- Respond to break/fix incidents involving network infrastructure and connectivity.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and related networking technologies.
- Design and implement network extensions and connectivity solutions.
- Support deployment of new and replacement network hardware and communications infrastructure.
- Maintain network hardware, software, and support applications.
- Monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, and resolve connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate network architecture, project documentation, inventory, and maintenance records.
- Document network changes and maintain detailed change management history.
- Perform network tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Assess existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements based on industry best practices and cybersecurity standards.
- Configure solutions to meet business requirements and provide technical documentation.
- Train users and technical staff on implemented solutions.
- Support field maintenance teams with communication infrastructure implementation and troubleshooting.
- Participate in infrastructure design and technical support for enterprise solutions.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including network hardening, threat hunting, and mitigation activities.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting project and operational deadlines.
Requirements
Seeking a mid-level Network Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on networking experience to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional seeking long-term career growth, with a bachelorâs degree and/or relevant industry certifications. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership potential, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment., * Minimum 5 years of hands-on network administration experience.
- Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience and industry certifications will also be considered.
- Experience administering enterprise LAN, WAN, and network infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of:
- DHCP
- DNS
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- Network security
- TCP/IP networking
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Experience monitoring network performance and availability.
- Strong documentation and change management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and non-technical users., * Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or equivalent.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience supporting transportation, government, or enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Experience with infrastructure design and implementation.
