Job description
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team. This role focuses heavily on Asset Management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) architecture, ensuring accurate, reliable, and governed IT asset and configuration data across the enterprise.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing custom applications and integrations on the ServiceNow platform, as well as managing and maintaining the overall health and configuration of the platform.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow ITAM (IT Asset Management) and CMDB modules to support enterprise-scale operations.
Own CMDB data quality, CI class modeling, relationship mapping, and reconciliation processes across discovery sources.
Implement and maintain Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations feeding CMDB/ITAM (e.g., network discovery, cloud/on-prem inventory tools).
Partner with infrastructure, data center, and operations teams to ensure accurate lifecycle tracking of hardware, software, and data center assets.
Develop and implement custom applications, workflows, business rules, and integrations within ServiceNow to support asset lifecycle and ITSM processes.
Manage and maintain the overall health and configuration of the ServiceNow platform, including user management, security, and data management.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues, including performance tuning and upgrade impact analysis.
Develop and maintain documentation for custom applications, integrations, platform configurations, and maintenance procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to teams and stakeholders on ServiceNow-related issues and questions.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, configuration, and customization.
Deep expertise in ServiceNow Asset Management (Hardware Asset Management/Software Asset Management) and CMDB modules.
Strong understanding of CI classes, CI relationships, discovery patterns, and reconciliation identification rules.
Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration frameworks (REST/SOAP, MID Server).
Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow scripting, including:
Business Rules Script Includes UI Policies ACLs GlideScript
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including: Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Asset Management Configuration Management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues., Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure).
Experience with data center asset management, including: Physical asset tracking Rack, power, and space management Data center lifecycle processes.
