What You’ll Do as a LEADS Infrastructure Services Specialist 4
- Design & manage VMware ESXi, KVM, & Harvester environments; Deploy & optimize VMs; Create automation for provisioning, maintenance, & reporting.
- Administer Active Directory (DCs, OUs, GPOs), user/group security, domain replication, (ADFS) Administer Federation Services, & internal (DNS) Domain Name Services services for LEADS & server communication.
- Manage NFS/SMB services, multi datacenter share availability, Commvault backup scheduling, retention, troubleshooting, & recovery testing.
- Oversee Oracle RAC/Grid deployments, cluster configuration, ASM storage, & routine patching; Ensure high availability & performance for LEADS databases.

Manage Docker/Kubernetes clusters, container lifecycle, image pipelines, & AWS GovCloud hybrid integration to ensure proper resource allocation & service availability., This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency. Background Check Information
- A BCI and FBI fingerprint check, a background check, including a polygraph examination, may be required on all selected applicants.
- A comparative analysis and/or drug-test may be a requirement of the hiring process.

Requirements
60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Server Virtualization). Option 2
- Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems;
AND 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Server Virtualization). Option 3
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems;
AND 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current it policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Server Virtualization). * Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
