Job description
- Communicate with business users and ITSD team members.
- Develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain code for applications within DESE’s portfolio.
- Coordinate and work with agency staff on open tickets and requests.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
Do you enjoy working with collaborative teams on a variety of projects? This position will be responsible for maintenance and operations of existing systems, designing and developing new software solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-motivated person with strong organizational and technical skills that can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas., * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of C#, VB ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, and Visual Studio.
- Familiar with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Microsoft SQL Server.
- A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with SSRS.
- Familiar with ServiceNow.
- Hands on experience with Web Accessibility and Responsive Web Design is desirable.
- Be self-motivated and have the desire to continually develop new skills and improve existing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

Knowledge of the core programming language used in the assigned area. Knowledge of computer logic statements and their applications. Ability to learn and apply concepts. Ability to perform basic mathematics. Ability to provide logical and innovative ideas, and think critically to resolve issues. Ability to communicate with staff, management, and agency personnel.

- The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
