Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Data Center Technician in Goodyear, AZ. This role is responsible for the installation and maintenance of low voltage cabling and infrastructure within mission-critical data center environments. The ideal candidate possesses direct experience in data center operations, specializing in cable pulling and the setup of conveyance systems across multiple sites in the Phoenix area., * Perform cable pulling and installation for various low voltage scopes within a data center setting.

  • Install and configure cable conveyance systems, including ladder racks, fiber trays, and basket trays.
  • Route and secure copper and fiber optic cabling according to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Support infrastructure deployments by assisting with hardware mounting and rack elevations.
  • Manage and maintain structured cabling pathways to ensure efficient cable management and airflow.
  • Travel between various data center locations around the Phoenix metropolitan area, primarily on the West Side.
  • Participate in physical infrastructure moves, adds, and changes (MACs) as required by project timelines.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within cabling and patching areas to ensure site safety.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data center experience?, * Prior professional experience working specifically within a data center environment is required.

  • Demonstrated expertise in low voltage installation and structured cabling practices.
  • Proficiency in cable pulling, conveyance installation, and cable management techniques.
  • Flexibility to travel to different job sites across Phoenix, including Goodyear and Chandler.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret floor plans and cable run lists.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods during shifts.
  • Comfortable working at heights and utilizing ladders for cable installation.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and maneuver through narrow data center aisles.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers for cable termination and routing.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between multiple facility locations.
