Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our technology team! In this role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving technical issues, supporting end-users, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. - Manage help desk systems and customer support tickets efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of user inquiries and problems.
- Support computer networking tasks including LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPN setup, firewalls, and Active Directory management.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and hardware support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with software troubleshooting, including application installation, updates, and configuration issues.
- Maintain and support IT infrastructure components such as Windows Server environments and network devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members on network troubleshooting efforts and analyze system logs to identify root causes of issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of help desk systems and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with operating systems including Windows (supporting Windows Server environments), macOS, and Linux.
- Solid knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN/WAN architecture, DNS, DHCP, GPO (Group Policy Objects), VPNs, firewalls, and TCP protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory management for user account provisioning and permissions control.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware problems related to computer hardware components and peripherals effectively.
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users while providing exceptional customer support.
- Analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical problems quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) tools and support for various operating systems is a plus.
