Job description

Join a team responsible for maintaining and updating GIS data for the electric utility network. This role focuses on editing geospatial data, supporting map production, and ensuring accurate GIS records. Recent graduates with GIS coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply., * Update, edit, and maintain GIS data for the electric distribution system.

  • Perform GIS analysis and create custom maps.
  • Process work orders and ensure GIS updates are accurately reflected.
  • Support print distribution of updated maps and records.
  • Perform limited field work (approximately 5 10%) as needed.

Requirements

Required:

  • 1 2 years of GIS experience or equivalent experience through school or internships.
  • Experience using GIS applications to update, edit, or modify geospatial/map data.
  • Understanding of GIS relationships and data structures.
  • Ability to work onsite during training and travel weekly to a secondary location.

Preferred:

  • GIS editing/modification experience is desired but not required; candidates with basic GIS editing skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Utility industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD is a strong plus.
