Job description
As a Functional Analyst, you are the bridge between business and technology. You translate business needs into clear functional specifications, ensuring that IT solutions are designed and delivered in a way that truly serves the people who use them.
You work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and external partners to ensure that our systems - including our ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365) - are continuously optimised, well-documented, and aligned with our operational reality.
This is a hands-on role that combines analytical rigour, strong communication skills, and a genuine curiosity for both business processes and technology.
Your Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Engage with business stakeholders across departments (finance, logistics, real estate, HR…) to understand their needs, pain points, and objectives
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured functional specifications and user stories
- Map and document current (as-is) and future (to-be) business processes
- Identify gaps between business needs and existing system capabilities and propose pragmatic solutions
Solution Design & Implementation
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and external vendors to design functional solutions
- Participate in the configuration, testing, and roll-out of IT solutions and ERP modules (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Define and execute test scenarios (functional testing, UAT) and ensure quality of delivered solutions
- Support change management and user adoption through training and clear documentation
Project Support & Coordination
- Actively participate in IT projects from scoping to go-live
- Ensure project deliverables meet functional requirements and business expectations
- Manage and prioritise the functional backlog in collaboration with the IT team and business owners
- Liaise with external consultants, integrators, and software vendors
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes, and workflows
- Monitor system performance and follow up on incidents and enhancement requests
- Stay up to date with new functionalities and releases of relevant IT solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Engineering, Applied Informatics, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in an IT or consulting environment
- Experience with ERP systems - knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Business Central) is a strong asset
- Experience in logistics, real estate, or finance domains is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar)
- Knowledge of process modelling methodologies (BPMN, UML) is an asset
- Understanding of data flows, integrations, and API concepts is a plus
Languages
- French and English : fluent - mandatory, * Curious by nature - you ask the right questions and dig beneath the surface to understand the real need behind a request
- A natural communicator - you can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders without losing them
- A trusted partner - business teams feel heard and supported when they work with you
- Structured and rigorous - your documentation is clear, complete, and actually used
