Unix/Linux Patch Engineer

Candidates must be available to attend an in-person interview at an FCB location in one of the following states: North Carolina, California, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, West Virginia, or Wisconsin., We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Unix/Linux Patch Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in implementing and managing BigFix-based patching solutions for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and IBM AIX environments. The ideal candidate must have experience configuring and implementing BigFix from scratch, particularly for Red Hat server patching. This role requires strong Unix/Linux administration skills, patch management expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure and engineering teams., * Configure and implement BigFix solutions for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) patching.

• Build and implement BigFix environments from scratch.
• Manage and perform enterprise-level Linux and Unix patching activities.
• Implement, test, validate, and roll out BigFix patching solutions for Red Hat servers.
• Support the expansion of the BigFix platform from Windows environments to Unix/Linux environments.
• Perform patch deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and remediation activities.
• Understand and address operational challenges associated with BigFix implementation in Red Hat environments.
• Work with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure successful patch deployment.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for improving patch management processes.
• Support IBM AIX patching and Unix infrastructure as required.
