Job description

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will serve as a critical guardian of precision, ensuring that complex components meet rigorous engineering standards. You will leverage your expertise in metrology and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming to drive quality excellence across prototype and production lifecycles. Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to guarantee product integrity.
  • Develop and optimize CMM programs, specifically utilizing Zeiss software, to streamline measurement workflows.
  • Utilize precision metrology instruments including height masters, optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers to validate part dimensions.
  • Translate complex engineering blueprints and GD&T requirements into actionable inspection criteria.
  • Generate and manage essential quality documentation, including FAI, PPAP, and non-conformance reports, to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing variances and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining calibration standards and refining inspection methodologies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, * Proven proficiency in both manual surface plate inspection and automated CMM programming.

  • Advanced understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret intricate technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing quality reporting documentation such as FAI and PPAP.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and technical communication., * Prior experience within the automotive or defense manufacturing sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with Zeiss Calypso or similar CMM software platforms.
  • A commitment to quality excellence that prioritizes hands-on technical experience over formal academic credentials.
