Job description
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will serve as a critical gatekeeper for product excellence, ensuring that all components and finished goods align with rigorous engineering specifications. You will leverage your technical expertise in precision measurement and regulatory standards to drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest levels of manufacturing integrity. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and final assemblies to verify adherence to design requirements.
- Utilize advanced hand-held metrology tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to conduct precise dimensional and visual assessments.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to validate product conformity.
- Document all inspection findings within the quality management system to ensure full traceability and compliance.
- Prepare and manage AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and source inspection reports for customer and regulatory review.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of non-conformance and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by strictly adhering to established EHS protocols and quality standards.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and GD&T.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9120, and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office applications., * ASQ certification or an Associate degree in a quality-related field.
- Direct experience supporting aerospace, defense, or large OEM customer requirements.
- Proven background in managing government or DoD contract quality documentation.
- Familiarity with contract review processes and specific quality flow-down requirements.
