The position is linked to Subphase 2.3, focused on the identification, adaptation, implementation and initial characterisation of the computational kernels of AI/ML models developed within the project, targeting their execution on embedded systems and heterogeneous computing platforms.

The selected candidate will contribute to the implementation and characterisation of AI/ML algorithms for 6G integrated sensing and communications systems, with particular emphasis on embedded platforms, digital processing architectures, efficient implementation, robustness testing, performance characterisation and hardware/software validation.

The contract is expected to run from 1 October 2026 to 30 March 2027, with a workload of 37.5 hours per week.

Bachelor Degree or equivalent, The following merits will be positively assessed:

• Academic or professional experience in embedded systems programming.
• Experience in digital design, FPGA or SoC platforms.
• Knowledge of hardware description languages.
• Experience in efficient implementation of signal processing or artificial intelligence algorithms.
• Experience in performance characterisation and energy consumption analysis.
• Experience in functional validation and hardware/software testing.
• Knowledge of programming, electronic design tools and version control systems.
• Ability to document technical results.
• Good command of English.
• Motivation and suitability for the activities of the project.

Specific Requirements

Applicants must hold a university degree equivalent to a Spanish medium-cycle university degree, bachelor’s degree, technical engineering degree, or equivalent.

The position is especially suitable for candidates with a background in electronic engineering, microelectronics, telecommunications engineering, industrial informatics, computer engineering or related areas.
