Applications Engineer

• Design and develop software applications for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define specifications.
• Implement and test software solutions to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on application usage.
• Document application designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for software development processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to understand complex customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and/or simulation tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLM/PDM systems
• Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation
• Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and smart manufacturing
• Prior experience in a customer-facing or sales-support role
