Hays is delighted to be working in partnership with a local council to recruit Graduate Data Administration Officers for a brand-new Customer Master Data team. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly established service from the very beginning, helping to develop processes, improve data quality, and support the delivery of essential services across the local authority.

About the Role

As a Graduate Data Administration Officer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring high data quality standards across council services. You’ll work closely with colleagues to support reporting, compliance, and data integrity activities while developing a strong understanding of business processes and data governance principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain customer records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Verify customer information in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Support data quality improvement initiatives across the council.
  • Assist with the production of management information and performance reports.
  • Utilise systems such as Oracle, Excel and Power BI to analyse and maintain data.
  • Help ensure compliance with GDPR and information governance requirements.
  • Identify and escalate any anomalies or potential fraud concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and effective service.
  • Contribute to the development of processes within the new Customer Master Data team.
