IT Technical Consultant

We’re looking for an experienced IT Technical Consultant to become a dedicated technical lead for one of our strategic customers. Based primarily at their London office, you’ll take ownership of technical projects from discovery and design through to implementation and handover, helping to deliver solutions that make a real difference.

This role offers plenty of autonomy. You’ll be trusted to shape solutions, make technical decisions, solve complex challenges and build strong relationships with stakeholders. At the same time, you’ll be supported by a collaborative team of technical experts who are always willing to share knowledge and expertise.

What you’ll be doing

As an IT Technical Consultant, you’ll be the technical lead across a variety of projects, ensuring solutions are well-designed, delivered to a high standard and fully aligned with customer requirements.

You’ll:

• Lead the delivery of IT projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking and security technologies.
• Work closely with customer stakeholders to understand their goals and translate requirements into practical, supportable solutions.
• Design, configure, deploy and migrate technologies with confidence and minimal supervision.
• Take ownership of projects from initial discovery through to successful completion and handover.
• Produce clear technical documentation, implementation plans and transition materials.
• Identify project risks and challenges early, helping to maintain momentum and achieve successful outcomes.
• Contribute technical expertise during design and scoping discussions when required.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide a professional, trusted consultancy experience.
• Ensure project work aligns with Air IT Group methodologies, security standards and best practice.
• Maintain accurate project records, updates and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset., * Experience delivering complex IT projects within a customer-facing or enterprise technology environment.

• Strong expertise across Microsoft 365, including:
• Entra ID
• Exchange Online
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Teams
• Intune
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server technologies, including:
• Active Directory
• Hyper-V
• Failover Clustering
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure, identity, networking and storage services.
• Experience working with enterprise storage technologies, SAN environments and VMware vSphere.
• Strong networking knowledge, including VLANs, routing, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Experience leading technical project delivery from design through to completion.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to a range of audiences.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable

• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102 or MD-102.
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
