IT Technician Needed for Secondary School in Wokingham

A busy secondary school in Wokingham, Berkshire is looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable IT Technician to join its support team.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical assistance to teachers, administrative staff and students, ensuring that technology across the school remains reliable and accessible.

You will deal with a variety of hardware, software and connectivity issues and will be expected to investigate problems efficiently before escalating more complex issues.

Key duties include:

• Providing first-line IT support
• Troubleshooting computers, laptops and peripherals
• Supporting classroom technology
• Setting up and configuring devices
• Assisting with user accounts and access
• Installing and updating software
• Troubleshooting connectivity problems
• Maintaining IT equipment
• Logging support requests
• Supporting wider IT projects

The successful candidate should have previous technical support or IT experience and be comfortable explaining technical information to non-technical users.

School experience is desirable but not essential.
