Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technician specializing in Data Center infrastructure to join our dynamic team for an 5 week contract. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic and telecommunication networks within data center environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in fiber splicing, cabling, and network infrastructure, combined with hands-on experience operating heavy equipment and working at a data center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of robust IT infrastructure and ensure seamless data transmission across complex networks., * You should be comfortable mounting heavier network equipment , reading cutsheets and port maps without constant supervision, and handling fiber correctly, especially MPO and LC connections.

  • Need to understand bend radius, polarity basics, structured labeling, and how to troubleshoot a mispatch quickly.
  • You should also be confident validating links, checking link lights, confirming correct ports, tracing cables, and correcting mistakes without escalating everything to the lead.
  • This role requires awareness of how network builds are structured, not just plugging cables.
