IT Technician

• Configure, maintain, control, troubleshoot and monitor the facilities MES shop floor software, database and related production systems software and hardware.
• Support and maintain Microsoft Windows server environments and related infrastructure.
• Assist with the administration and support of Local Area Networks (LAN), wireless networks, and connected devices.
• Monitor system performance and availability
• Provide technical support for plant IT infrastructure, production systems, and end-user computing environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and manufacturing system issues using logical and analytical problem-solving methods.
• to ensure uninterrupted business and production operations.
• Create and maintain SQL queries, reports, and database-related solutions to support operational requirements.
• Assist with software deployments, system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and support IT projects, system implementations, and equipment installations.
• Follow and enforce corporate IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and provide off-shift support as needed.
• Document troubleshooting activities, system changes, and technical procedures.
• Work independently or with Corporate IT and business stakeholders to quickly resolve issues and implement technology solutions.
• May be required to support both the Troy and Auburn Hills locations
• Provide technical guidance and training to users as required

• Associate degree (2-year degree) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering,

Required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Information Technology support role.
• Effective problem solver
• Experience troubleshooting production floor systems and related technologies.
• Effective communicator (written, spoken, peers, operators, managers)
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, networking, and databases

Preferred

• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environments.
• Experience troubleshooting production floor systems and related technologies.
• Highly proficient in use of Office 365 applications
• Proficient in use of Microsoft SQL Database and Microsoft Windows servers
• 2+ years Cisco Network administration experience
