Job description

You will provide first-line IT support to teachers, pupils and school staff, helping resolve everyday technical issues and ensuring users have the equipment and access they need to work effectively.

The Role

Working as part of the school’s existing IT team, you will provide practical 1st Line IT support and helpdesk assistance across the school.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing 1st Line IT Helpdesk Support to staff and pupils

Responding to IT support tickets and helpdesk requests

Troubleshooting common hardware, software and connectivity issues

Supporting computers, laptops, tablets, printers and other IT equipment

Assisting users with Microsoft 365, email and account access

Setting up user accounts, passwords and devices

Preparing IT equipment for new starters

Supporting classroom technology and day-to-day ICT requirements

Diagnosing and resolving straightforward technical problems

Escalating more complex issues to the wider IT team

Providing clear and friendly technical support to non-technical users

Helping maintain reliable IT systems across the school

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is confident providing first-line technical support and enjoys helping users resolve IT issues., Practical experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Confidence supporting users with varying levels of technical knowledge

Good knowledge of computers, hardware, software and connectivity

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 would be beneficial

A professional, patient and helpful approach

Good communication skills

An Enhanced DBS suitable for working in a school setting

Due to the school-based nature of the position and regular contact with children and young people, an Enhanced DBS is required.

Benefits & conditions

£110-£150 per day, depending on experience

Full-time, long-term and ongoing assignment
