backend and full stack engineers

We are hiring backend and full stack engineers our Engineering teams here in New York. These teams tackle a variety of technical challenges across the tech stack, from product engineering to runtime orchestration, with a heavy focus on our newest products like Merge Gateway. We are hiring for mid - to staff - level positions, with candidate evaluation based on a combination of relevant experience and performance in the interview process.

What you will do:

• Participate in roadmapping and architecture discussions
• Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code
• Lead large projects from initial inception to production
• Unblock and support your team of peers including engineers, designers, product managers, and business operators
• Interact with customers to solve customer problems
• Build a best in class developer experience for Merge’s dashboard, docs, APIs and SDKs

• 5-7+ years of full-time software engineering experience (looking for senior+ level of experience)
• Experience with frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring, React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
• An ability to perform in a fast paced environment and deal with ambiguity
• Startup or SaaS experience preferred
• Experience with design systems, modern styling, and frontend testing practices a plus

• The cash compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $235,000
• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all full time employees receive an equity compensation package, * Unlimited PTO + 10 company holidays
