The Altersvorsorgedepot team is building one of our most strategic new product propositions, creating a scalable, compliant and customer-centred retirement offering that will shape how clients invest for their future.

About your role As Quality Assurance Manager for the Altersvorsorgedepot, you will be responsible for establishing and driving a modern quality engineering approach across one of our most strategically important new product propositions. This role is not centred on traditional test coordination alone. Instead, you will help embed quality into the full software development lifecycle, ensuring that robust engineering standards, effective test automation and risk-based quality practices are built into how the product is designed, developed and operated from the outset.

You will define and evolve the overall test strategy for the proposition, with particular focus on automation, repeatability and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with engineers, business analysts and product stakeholders, you will shape a scalable test approach covering functional, integration, regression and end-to-end validation across frontend and backend services. You will help establish fit-for-purpose quality gates, improve release confidence and reduce manual effort through a strong automation-first mindset. This includes contributing to test architecture, improving coverage across the test pyramid, and ensuring that quality, resilience and compliance considerations are consistently reflected in delivery decisions. In a regulated and evolving product environment, you will play a key role in making sure the AVD platform is delivered with the level of reliability, control and engineering discipline required for long-term success.

Your core Areas

• Test Automation Strategy - Defines and drives an effective automation strategy, ensuring scalable, maintainable test frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers.
• CI/CD & Pipeline Quality - Embeds automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling fast feedback, quality gates, and reliable automated builds in cloud environments.
• Cloud & Modern Test Environments - Applies cloud-native testing practices, handling dynamic environments, containers, and distributed systems with confidence.
• Agile Quality Leadership - Champions quality in Agile teams through shift-left testing, close collaboration with development, and continuous improvement.
• Quality Metrics & Risk-Based Testing - Uses data-driven metrics to assess risk, prioritize testing, and support informed release decisions.
• People & Stakeholder Leadership - Leads and develops QA and test automation teams while partnering effectively with product, engineering, and DevOps stakeholders.

You have strong experience in quality assurance, quality engineering or software test automation within a digital product or platform environment, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry. You are confident designing and implementing automated test approaches across API, UI and end-to-end layers, and you understand how to integrate these into CI/CD workflows to support fast, reliable delivery. You bring a strong grasp of test design, defect prevention and engineering quality practices, and are comfortable working closely with developers to drive a shift-left approach to quality. You are able to balance pragmatism with control, and can apply structured, risk-based thinking in environments where technology, operations and regulatory expectations intersect. Experience with microservices-based architectures, cloud-native delivery and modern automation frameworks would be highly valuable., * Proven QA & Test Automation Experience - Several years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation in complex, enterprise-scale systems.

• Automation Tools & Frameworks Expertise - Hands-on experience with modern test automation tools and frameworks (UI, API, integration, regression).
• CI/CD Pipeline Experience - Solid experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, working closely with build, deployment, and release processes.
• Cloud & DevOps Environments - Practical experience testing cloud-based applications and working within DevOps-oriented, cloud-native environments.
• Agile Methodologies - Strong background in Agile (e.g., Scrum, SAFe), with experience embedding quality practices into fast-paced delivery teams.
• Leadership & Team Management - Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow QA and test automation professionals.
• Quality Metrics & Risk Assessment - Experience defining quality metrics, assessing risk, and supporting release decisions with data-driven insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Ability to work effectively with development, product management, and DevOps stakeholders to ensure shared ownership of quality.
