Job description

  • Develop strategic communication plans, media assessments, and recommendations supporting Surface Force priorities.
  • Research traditional and digital media and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Prepare talking points, speeches, press releases, briefing cards, media responses, communication playbooks, and magazine content.
  • Support senior-leader communications, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Measure communication effectiveness and prepare recurring reports and executive-level presentations.
  • Coordinate messaging with headquarters and subordinate commands.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in strategic communications, crisis communications, media research, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong writing, editing, presentation, analytical, and project-management skills.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital media workflows, measurement, research, optimization, and testing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including strong Excel skills.
  • Active Secret clearance, maintained throughout employment.
  • Availability for on-site work and occasional travel., A degree in analytics, business administration, digital media, marketing, or media and multimedia arts. Military public-affairs experience is highly relevant.
