Data Officer - Guildford | High-Performing Secondary School

A high-performing secondary school in Guildford is looking for an experienced Data Officer to join its administration and data team.

This is a varied role with responsibility for maintaining accurate pupil information, supporting assessment cycles and producing reports for teaching staff and senior leaders. The successful candidate will play an important part in making sure school data is reliable, up to date and easy for colleagues to use. Your Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the school’s MIS
• Keeping pupil records accurate and up to date
• Supporting assessment and reporting cycles
• Producing attainment, progress and attendance reports
• Preparing data for senior leadership meetings
• Supporting school census and statutory returns
• Carrying out regular data quality checks
• Managing Excel spreadsheets and databases
• Responding to staff queries relating to pupil data
• Supporting improvements to the school’s use of data

Previous school-based Data Officer, Data Manager or MIS experience is highly desirable.

You’ll need strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with large amounts of information. Experience using Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom or another school MIS would be an advantage.
