Data Officer - Barnet | Independent School

An established independent school in Barnet is looking for a detail-focused Data Officer to take responsibility for pupil information, reporting and the school’s core data systems.

You’ll work closely with academic staff and senior leaders, ensuring information is reliable and readily available to support assessment, planning and school operations. Your Responsibilities

Maintain the school’s MIS and pupil databases Produce reports and analyse assessment data Support assessment and tracking cycles Maintain accurate student records Assist with census and statutory returns Manage spreadsheets and data reports Carry out regular data checks Ensure data is handled in accordance with GDPR Support staff with MIS and reporting queries

We’re looking for someone with previous education-based data experience, ideally within a school environment.

You should be confident using Excel and an MIS system and have excellent attention to detail. Experience with iSAMS, SIMS, Arbor or similar systems would be advantageous.

The school would also consider candidates who have worked in a data-heavy administrative role outside education, provided they can demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills.
