IT Support Technician - Oxford

A busy secondary school in Oxford is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support to staff and pupils.

The successful candidate will help maintain the school’s IT infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure users have reliable access to computers, networks, software, and digital resources., * Provide first-line technical support to staff and pupils.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers and peripheral equipment.
• Support classroom technology including interactive displays and audiovisual equipment.
• Assist with user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access issues.
• Monitor network and system performance and escalate complex issues where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of technical faults and completed repairs.
• Support software updates and routine system maintenance.
• Assist with the management of IT equipment across the school.
• Promote safe and appropriate use of school technology.

• Previous IT support or technical experience.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Patient and professional approach to supporting non-technical users.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise support requests in a busy environment.
• Relevant IT qualifications would be advantageous.
