Job description

  • Manage and troubleshoot computer networking issues, including LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Provide expert-level software troubleshooting and resolve technical problems related to operating systems such as Windows, Microsoft 365 etc.
  • Deliver comprehensive IT support and desktop support across multiple platforms, assisting users with hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Respond promptly to help desk requests, documenting incidents accurately and following up to resolution.
  • Maintain and support computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment.
  • Assist with the configuration and management of security tools like firewalls and VPNs to protect organisational data.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users by explaining technical issues clearly and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior IT Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex IT issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our computer networks and systems. Your proactive approach will help maintain high levels of service quality and operational efficiency across our organisation., * Proven experience in computer networking, software troubleshooting, and technical support roles.

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and their respective hardware requirements.
  • Familiarity with help desk management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Hands-on experience with LAN setup, firewall management, VPNs, and network security protocols.
  • Ability to diagnose hardware issues related to computers and peripherals efficiently.
  • Relevant certifications in networking (e.g., Cisco CCNA), operating systems or security are a plus.
