Job description

We are seeking an IT Operations Technician to support the day-to-day technical operation and continued growth of our Healthcare AI software platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the application’s technical infrastructure, ensuring servers and associated systems remain operational, identifying and investigating system errors, carrying out routine troubleshooting, and liaising with the development team where more complex technical issues require resolution.

The role will also support the commercial expansion in the UK and Indian markets. This will include liaising with prospective business customers, demonstrating the platform, assisting organisations with onboarding and subscriptions, and travelling within the UK to meet prospective clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage and maintain computer networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network security measures.
  • Support server environments such as Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and macOS, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer Active Directory for user account management, access control, and group policies.
  • Utilize tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and Help Desk systems to track incidents, manage assets, and streamline workflows.
  • Troubleshoot software problems across various operating systems and hardware configurations while providing excellent customer service through clear communication.
  • Assist with network configuration tasks including DNS setup, TCP/IP troubleshooting, firewall management, and LAN connectivity issues.
  • Support the deployment of updates and patches using SCCM or equivalent tools to ensure systems are current and secure.
  • Collaborate with team members to analise system logs and diagnose complex technical problems for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrating the platform to prospective business users.
  • Supporting customer onboarding and implementation.
  • Liaising with businesses and prospective customers in India.
  • Supporting UK business development, including visits to prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup, and firewall configuration.
  • Strong background in desktop support across Windows (including Windows Server) and macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory administration and user account management.
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for various applications within Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise software.
  • Experience working with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to analyze system logs using analysis tools like Jira or ServiceNow for incident resolution.
  • Understanding of Linux operating systems and basic network analysis skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to support hardware components including computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals.
