Job description

Roles of this type sit within collaborative development teams building contemporary web solutions using React and NextJS. You could be working on projects that demand strong component architecture, efficient state management and clean, maintainable code. The work typically involves partnering with backend services, APIs and microservices to deliver responsive, performant user interfaces. These are contract positions based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, offering flexibility to work hybrid, with the scope to contribute meaningfully to product delivery from day one., * Building and maintaining React components and NextJS applications with a focus on code quality and reusability

  • Developing responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript and frameworks such as Tailwind CSS
  • Collaborating with backend teams to integrate APIs and microservices into frontend applications
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and improving application performance
  • Writing clean, well-tested code and participating in code reviews
  • Working within Agile methodologies to deliver features and improvements in iterative cycles

Requirements

  • Rate: £500-700 per day
  • Experience: 5-10 years in software development, with strong React / NextJS focus
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, * 5-10 years’ professional experience in software development
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React
  • Hands-on experience building applications with NextJS
  • Experience working with APIs and microservices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices
  • Experience with modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker or containerization
  • Proficiency with version control and collaborative development workflows
  • Certifications such as Meta Front-End Developer Certificate or JavaScript Certification (JSE)
