Job description

  • To provide service and support to students and district employees; district-owned hardware, software and peripherals; district subscription services

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment and upgrades to software
  • Install and troubleshoot software while adhering to license requirements
  • Install, configure, repair and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment, warranties and software licenses
  • Prioritize tech tickets, find resolutions and document repair solutions
  • Maintain department documentation with updated procedures, troubleshooting and problem-solving resolutions
  • May be asked to manage:
  • iOS devices through MDM solutions
  • Chrome devices through the Google Admin Console
  • Application deployment to mobile devices
  • Perform any other such duties as may be assigned by the Director of Information
  • Systems and/or the Director of Technology and Library Media

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Establish and maintain positive interactions with students, school personnel and community members
  • Present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Consult and collaborate with Technology Department members
  • Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness to solve problems
  • Independently organize and prioritize multiple demands while performing duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism
  • Learn new systems and technology to meet changing demands
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

Reports to:

  • Director of Information Systems

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft, iOS and ChromeOS operating systems with strong problem resolution skills
  • Experience in hardware and software installations and troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), * The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to work in a normal school building environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to transportation for travel between schools
