Job description

Insight Global is looking for an Epic ASAP Analyst who understands the fast-paced operational realities of Emergency Department workflows. The ideal candidate has experience supporting patient movement from arrival through disposition, understands how ADT events impact downstream clinical and billing workflows, and can effectively partner with emergency physicians, nurses, registration staff, and operational leadership. Candidates with ASAP build experience, ED optimization projects, patient throughput initiatives, or emergency medicine operational backgrounds will stand out. They need someone who can connect workflow efficiency, patient movement, charging accuracy, and system performance while supporting one of the most complex and high-volume areas within the hospital.

Requirements

  • Epic ASAP Certification * 3+ years of Epic analyst, healthcare IT, or application support experience * Strong understanding of Emergency Department workflows and operations * Experience supporting ADT (Admissions, Discharges, Transfers) workflows and patient movement * Understanding of ED charging, charge capture, and revenue cycle touchpoints * Experience with Epic build, configuration, workflow analysis, and optimization * Ability to troubleshoot complex workflow and integration issues * Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and communication skills * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) * Emergency Department clinical or operational experience * Experience supporting emergency medicine providers, nurses, and registration teams * Knowledge of interdepartmental workflows between ED, inpatient units, registration, and billing * Experience supporting systems outside of Epic * 2+ years of project management experience * Experience with throughput, capacity management, and patient flow initiatives
