Staff Software Engineer - Files Platform

This role will focus on designing and scaling core backend systems that power file storage, access control, and secure handling of sensitive data. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities, support compliance requirements, and improve the performance and resilience of production services. The position also offers the opportunity to lead major migrations, mentor engineers, and contribute to AI-enabled workflow automation., * Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale backend services for file storage and access control

• Design event-driven systems for real-time permission updates and compliance adherence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving sensitive data
• Lead migration efforts ensuring zero-downtime transitions for production systems
• Mentor team members and advocate for engineering best practices
• Innovate AI-powered solutions for file processing and workflow automation
• Evaluate and integrate third-party file management capabilities

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
• Proficient in server-side languages like Java, Python, or C++
• Experienced with relational databases including MySQL, Postgres, and SQL Server
• Strong ability to manage complex projects across teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
