IT Systems Administrator

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience administering Windows environments, managing user accounts, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure. The successful candidate will work with technical teams to resolve incidents, strengthen security, and maintain dependable IT services.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor servers, workstations, and operating systems.
• Administer Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and user access permissions.
• Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and infrastructure health.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Manage system updates, security patches, and routine maintenance.
• Support cloud infrastructure and services, including Microsoft Azure where applicable.
• Implement access controls and follow established cybersecurity policies.
• Maintain technical documentation, system inventories, and configuration records.
• Respond to service requests and incidents within established service-level agreements.
• Coordinate with help desk, network, security, and cloud teams to resolve complex issues.

• Experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or technical support.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server administration.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and user account management.
• Understanding of backup, recovery, patch management, and endpoint security.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and routine administration automation.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
• Experience supporting multiple business environments or managed IT services.

• Estimated annual salary: $65,000-$95,000, depending on experience, technical skills, and role responsibilities.
