IT Systems Administrator

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing Windows systems, supporting Microsoft 365, maintaining network infrastructure, and resolving technical issues. The successful candidate will work with IT engineers and service teams to improve system reliability, protect business data, and provide responsive technical support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor servers, workstations, and business systems.
• Administer Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot service interruptions.
• Maintain system backups, recovery procedures, software updates, and security patches.
• Support firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks, and VPN connectivity.
• Investigate hardware, software, and infrastructure problems and document resolutions.
• Assist with cybersecurity measures, endpoint protection, and access-control policies.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and accurate technical documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Recommend improvements to system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or technical support.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Understanding of Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, backup management, and patching.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to document technical work and communicate clearly with users.
• Good time management and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and administrative automation.
• Experience with endpoint security, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
• Experience working in a managed IT services environment.

• Estimated annual salary: $65,000-$90,000, depending on experience and technical expertise.
