Job description
We’re looking for a technician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and working directly with clients. Most days involve scheduled onsite visits to solve computer, printer, connectivity, and everyday IT problems. You’ll also help residential clients when needed.
Our owner handles IT planning, server administration, Microsoft 365 administration, and complex escalations. We need someone who can take ownership of routine visits, keep clients informed, and know when to bring in help.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot Windows computers, software, printers, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Set up and replace computers and user workstations.
- Help with routine VPN, remote access, and Microsoft 365 application or sign-in issues.
- Explain problems and next steps clearly to clients.
- Write useful service notes and follow through on open issues.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting computers and helping users.
- Confidence working independently on routine onsite visits.
- Good judgment about when to escalate a problem.
- Patience, reliability, and a friendly, professional manner.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to visit clients throughout the Treasure Valley.
A degree is not required. We’re more interested in your troubleshooting skills, your judgment, and how you treat clients., * A small-business client says their computer has internet access, but they cannot print to the office printer. What would you check first?
- This is an onsite, client-facing role in the Treasure Valley paying $24-$25/hour. Does that fit what you’re looking for?
- What hands-on experience do you have troubleshooting computers for clients or coworkers? Please give one example of a problem you solved.
- This position requires driving to client locations throughout the Treasure Valley. Do you have a current valid driver’s license, and would you be willing to authorize a driving-record check if selected as a finalist?
Benefits & conditions
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Benefits:
- Paid time off
