Entry level Hardware Technician

The Test Technician will support production testing, failure analysis, and hardware repair activities to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery. This role involves working closely with production, engineering, and management teams to meet operational targets and customer expectations., System Testing

• Set up systems for production testing.
• Perform system updates and verify configurations.
• Execute system test scripts and established testing procedures.
• Identify error codes and troubleshoot system issues.
• Conduct failure analysis and diagnose hardware problems.
• Perform hardware repairs according to approved procedures.

Issue Resolution

• Identify and resolve technical issues affecting systems under test.
• Escalate issues impacting production schedules to technicians, team leads, and supervisors.
• Communicate technical findings and repair status clearly.

Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes.
• Support 5S initiatives and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance quality and productivity.

• Associate degree in Information Technology, technical school certification, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems, including Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to employees at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ certification or networking certifications.
• At least one year of experience in PC hardware, system troubleshooting, or networking.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
