Desktop Technician

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Technician IV to provide onsite technical support in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with desktop support, Windows systems, computer imaging, networking, printer support, and troubleshooting., * Provide onsite desktop and technical support to end users.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Perform computer imaging, operating system installations, and device deployments.
• Set up and configure new desktops, laptops, clients, and servers according to documented processes.
• Support Windows desktop and server environments.
• Perform standard maintenance on desktops and servers, including patches, agent installations, and incident troubleshooting.
• Support Active Directory and basic Windows security functions.
• Monitor and support data closet equipment, servers, UPS systems, and network equipment.
• Monitor and report general site IT health, including data closets, servers, network connectivity, and client systems.
• Assist with cable runs and provide guidance to local teams regarding cable runs and terminations.
• Maintain and document network/IDF changes and port mappings.
• Escort vendors for maintenance activities involving data closet systems.
• Assist with server operations and onsite IT infrastructure.
• Provide printer and peripheral support.
• Work closely with site personnel and IT teams to follow established IT best practices.
• Provide customer-focused technical support and troubleshooting.

• 3-5 years of IT/Desktop Support experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with:
• Desktop support
• Computer imaging
• Windows 10/11
• Printer support
• Hardware/software troubleshooting
• Basic networking
• Customer service
• Experience with Active Directory
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and network connectivity
• Experience working with switches and common network devices
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to work 100% onsite

• Candidates must be comfortable working onsite and traveling to the additional supported locations as needed.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
