Job description

  • Serves as subject matter expert, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Will work with user groups, functional managers, development teams, and project teams to identify design enhancements and systems configuration opportunities, and to improve the utilization of business applications.
  • Responsibilities include providing timely application support to end-users and working with other support groups to establish proper integration of business applications. Provides technical support for the configuration and implementation of COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) software applications related to ERP.
  • Supports ERP system; apply patches, upgrades/releases as appropriate; and troubleshoot and fix problems within the ERP system configuration, ERP system customizations, related custom applications, and interfaces.
  • Administers user roles and profiles to ensure appropriate permission assignments.
  • Prepares accurate and detailed configuration and functional specification documents.
  • Ensures software operation by providing support and assisting with the training of Enterprise Business Solutions team and client personnel as it relates to ERP solutions.
  • Acts as a liaison between various business units to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate business requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and business systems.
  • Supports the ERP team in delivering robust solutions to the enterprise.
  • Interacts with software, hardware, and/or professional services vendors.
  • Responsible for effective communication through progress reports, user documentation, and formal presentations to teams and management
  • Develops automated process workflow routines focused on automating business processes using deployed applications.
  • Participates in efforts to evaluate, select, and implement third party software, vendors and/or service providers.
  • Monitors the ERP application environment and tunes system performance (where applicable).
  • Provides assistance to other ERP Analysts
  • Performs other related technology duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a relevant degree, 3-5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of ERP Software configuration;
  • Highly skilled in analytical and problem solving; skilled with Windows server and desktop operating systems; skilled in implementing and administering ERP solutions; skilled with business systems, software testing, report writing, project management, and/or business analyst
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies quickly; ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, Elected/Appointed Officials, outside organizations and agencies, vendors and the general public
  • Demonstrates technological intuitiveness.
  • Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
  • Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test

Preferred Certification/License:

  • Certification in a modern ERP system or platform
  • Strong Visio skills a plus
