Job description

  • Serves as subject matter expert, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in content, processes, and procedures associated with Enterprise Business Systems
  • Provides technical support for the configuration and implementation of COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) software applications related to Enterprise Business Systems
  • Administers user roles and profiles to ensure appropriate permission assignments
  • Ensures software operation by providing support and assisting with the training of Enterprise Business Systems team and client personnel as it relates to Enterprise Business Systems solutions
  • Prepares accurate and detailed configuration and functional specification documents
  • Acts as a liaison between various business units to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate business requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and business systems
  • Supports the Enterprise Business Systems service line in delivering robust solutions to the enterprise
  • Interacts with software, hardware, and/or professional services vendors
  • Responsible for effective communication through progress reports, user documentation, and formal presentations to teams and management
  • Develops automated process workflow routines focused on automating business processes through the use of deployed applications
  • Participates in efforts to evaluate, select, and implement third party software, vendors and/or service providers
  • Maintains application infrastructure for primary Enterprise Business Systems applications to ensure high availability to support business use
  • Performs other related technology duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a relevant degree, 1-3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of software configuration; knowledge of Enterprise Business Systems
  • Highly skilled in analytical and problem solving; skill with Windows server and desktop operating systems; skilled in implementing and administering Enterprise Business Systems solutions; skill with business systems, software testing, report writing, project management, and/or business analyst
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies quickly; ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, Elected/Appointed Officials, outside organizations and agencies, vendors and the general public
  • Demonstrates technological intuitiveness
  • Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
  • Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test, * Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with cashiering applications

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Constantly working in indoor / telework conditions
  • Frequently moves items weighing up to 10-15 pounds
  • Occasionally moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally move about the office / telework office
  • Frequently communicates with others using approved technological resources; must be able to exchange accurate information through designated systems within a timely manner
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Positions self to perform essential functions of the job in an office / telework environment
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Flexibility to achieve performance excellence in a telework arrangement
  • Maintains County-issued equipment, software, data and supplies
