Job description
The Software Engineer - Product Security is responsible for designing, building, and operating enterprise security controls as software products integrated into the enterprise technology ecosystem. This role owns the full software development lifecycle, delivering scalable, reliable security solutions that enable secure-by-default behaviors while minimizing friction for product and platform teams. The position impacts the organization by enhancing security risk reduction and system reliability through effective control adoption.
- Responsibilities:

Design, build, and operate enterprise security controls integrated into SDLC and core platforms

Own security control capabilities end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, deployment, and production support

Write, test, and maintain high-quality production code with an emphasis on reliability and delivery

Apply engineering best practices such as test-driven development, paired programming, and continuous integration and deployment

Contribute to system and component design focusing on scalability, reliability, and security outcomes

Evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and patterns to improve security controls

Collaborate with product managers, platform teams, and partner engineering groups to align security capabilities with enterprise needs

Participate in agile delivery ceremonies, promoting fast feedback, incremental delivery, and continuous improvement
Requirements
-
Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience owning production systems, proficient in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript)

Experience designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems and cloud-based applications, including microservices

Ability to design, develop, and integrate APIs and backend services, including REST interfaces

Familiarity with test-driven development, paired programming, and continuous integration/deployment workflows

Experience collaborating effectively within agile delivery models

For Lead and Expert levels:
-
At least 1 year of coaching or mentoring engineers with demonstrated technical capability improvements
-
Proven leadership in technical design and architecture for complex distributed systems, improving scalability, security, reliability, or performance

- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Compensation offered for this role ranges from $90,700 to $195,700 annually, based on experience and qualifications
