Job description

Sandal Translation Services Ltd. is seeking a meticulous and linguistically skilled Translation Quality Review Specialist to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and overall quality of translated content across multiple languages and industries. This role is responsible for reviewing completed translations, identifying linguistic and formatting issues, ensuring adherence to client-specific requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of quality before final delivery., Translation Quality Review

  • Review translated documents for linguistic accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
  • Compare source and target texts to ensure complete and accurate translation of content.
  • Verify that terminology is used consistently and aligns with approved glossaries and client preferences.
  • Identify omissions, mistranslations, inconsistencies, and contextual errors.
  • Ensure translations accurately convey the intent, tone, and cultural nuances of the original content.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Apply established quality assurance procedures and linguistic review standards.
  • Evaluate translations against client guidelines, style guides, and localization requirements.
  • Conduct final quality checks before project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific terminology and regulatory requirements when applicable.
  • Maintain consistency across projects, languages, and translators.

Collaboration & Feedback

  • Provide constructive feedback to translators and project teams.
  • Work closely with project managers to resolve quality concerns and clarify project requirements.
  • Participate in quality calibration sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and updating linguistic resources, glossaries, terminology databases, and style guides.

Localization Review

  • Review localized content for cultural appropriateness and audience relevance.
  • Verify formatting, date conventions, currencies, measurements, and regional language preferences.
  • Ensure translated content maintains usability and readability across target markets.
  • Identify localization issues that may impact user experience or client objectives.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Document quality findings and maintain detailed review records.
  • Track recurring quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare quality assessment reports and performance summaries.
  • Support internal audits and quality improvement programs.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Foreign language proficiency?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, The ideal candidate possesses exceptional language proficiency, strong editing and proofreading skills, and a deep understanding of translation quality standards, localization best practices, and multilingual content management., * Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in translation review, editing, proofreading, localization, or language quality assurance.
  • Native or near-native fluency in at least one target language and advanced proficiency in English.
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills.
  • Strong understanding of translation quality standards and linguistic best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with translation agencies or localization service providers.
  • Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools such as SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, or Phrase.
  • Experience reviewing technical, legal, medical, financial, marketing, or business content.
  • Knowledge of terminology management and translation memory systems.
  • Professional translation or localization certifications.
