Job description

ISBS is seeking a Sales Lead, Managed IT Services to drive new business growth within our managed services practice. Building on an established client base and a profitable, proven service-delivery foundation, this role is responsible for selling Managed Network Services (MNS) and related managed IT solutions, developing a repeatable sales process, and accelerating recurring-revenue growth. Over time, the Sales Lead will have the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated managed services sales team. This is a high-impact role with significant earning potential and a clear path to sales leadership., * Revenue generation. Sell Managed Network Services and managed IT solutions to small and mid-sized businesses, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.

  • Sales strategy. Develop and execute a go-to-market plan, including target markets, ideal client profile, positioning, and sales messaging.
  • Pipeline development. Build and maintain a qualified, forecastable pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and partner channels.
  • Solution selling. Conduct discovery, scope solutions, prepare proposals and MNS agreements, and negotiate terms in coordination with leadership and service delivery.
  • Process development. Establish a repeatable, documented sales process, including qualification standards, CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and clean hand-off to onboarding.
  • Cross-sell collaboration. Partner with the existing copier and print sales organization to cross-sell managed services into the current client base.
  • Internal alignment. Work closely with the VP of Technology and service-delivery teams to ensure solutions are accurately scoped, deliverable, and profitable.
  • Performance to goal. Meet or exceed assigned bookings, recurring-revenue, and pipeline targets.
  • Future team leadership. As the practice grows, help recruit, onboard, and lead additional managed services sales staff.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Time-based sales targets?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 3+ years of B2B sales experience, including direct experience selling Managed Network Services or managed IT services in an MSP or comparable technology environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and closing recurring-revenue agreements.
  • Working knowledge of the MSP business model, including recurring revenue, per-seat/per-device pricing, MNS agreements, and statements of work.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions (cybersecurity, networking, cloud, backup, infrastructure) into clear business value for decision-makers.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline and forecast management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high standard of professional integrity.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client meetings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or scaling a sales process, territory, or team.
  • Familiarity with the Chicagoland SMB market.
  • Knowledge of common MSP and cybersecurity tools and platforms (e.g., RMM, EDR, Microsoft 365, backup and email-security solutions).
  • Relevant industry or vendor certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The position pays a base salary in the $60,000-$70,000 range, with the majority of total earnings coming from an aggressive, uncapped commission plan - so your income scales directly with the revenue you generate. On-target earnings are approximately $120,000-$125,000, with top performers earning $150,000 or more through accelerators and no commission cap.
