Job description

Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for an Intermediate Level Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The candidate will provide technical support, customer service, and documentation support for a federal government program. The successful candidate will assist end users with application-related issues, maintain technical documentation, and support daily operational activities. This role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a mission-focused environment.

This position will be on-site, and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support to end users by troubleshooting and resolving software and system-related issues
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and collaboration tools in a professional and timely manner

  • Prepare, edit, and maintain technical documentation, user guides, operations manuals, and system support materials

  • Conduct technical research and collaborate with technical staff to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness

  • Support users of custom applications by assisting with system functionality, navigation, and issue resolution

  • Configure and coordinate virtual meetings using collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom

  • Document customer issues, track resolutions, and escalate complex problems when necessary

  • Assist with administrative and operational activities in support of program objectives

  • Learn and support new technologies, applications, and infrastructure-related processes as required

  • Maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach in all interactions

Requirements

Do you have experience in Customer support?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Technical Communications, or a related field

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in application support, help desk operations, customer support, technical documentation, or a related technical role

  • Experience creating and maintaining user guides, technical documentation, or operational procedures

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively support users with varying technical backgrounds

  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and tasks

  • Must be able to pass a federal government background check (Public Trust Clearance)

  • Must live in the United States and a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting federal government agencies or government contractor programs

  • Familiarity with IT service management processes and ticketing systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms

  • Knowledge of enterprise applications, infrastructure concepts, and software support best practices

  • Experience developing training materials and conducting user support activities
