Job description

  • Build and maintain proactive working relationships with managers, clients, and colleagues.

  • Run an efficient Help Desk service, handling all enquiries and using electronic systems to record, prioritise and allocate tasks.
  • Log and issue reference numbers for all faults, cleaning issues, and maintenance requests, ensuring information is passed on promptly and within KPIs.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers when allocating work and maintain clear two-way communication.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, preparing reports, and producing documents such as presentations and signage.
  • Support HR administration where required.
  • Process client invoices on a monthly or periodic basis.
  • Complete regular operational performance reporting, including quality, health and safety, and payroll data.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage online ordering for the account.
  • Maintain and update the contract database accurately.
  • Ensure payroll is completed on time and resolve any related queries.
  • Answer incoming calls professionally, resolving requests directly whenever possible.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and compliant working environment, reporting accidents, hazards, and faulty equipment.
  • Cover colleagues during absence and follow instructions from senior managers.
  • Attend required training and support the wider business as needed.

Shifts: The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 2 off rolling rota. This could be subject to change! An example of the shift hours: 4 on 2 off rolling:

  • Day 1: 05:00AM TO 13:30PM
  • Day 2: 05:00AM TO 13:30PM
  • Day 3: 13:30PM TO 22:00PM
  • Day 4: 13:30PM TO 22:00PM
  • OFF
  • OFF

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dealing with and recording faults.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Recording data on a database systems.
  • High level computer literacy-understanding of how to use technology as a tool
  • Previous experiences within Gatwick Airport (desirable)
  • Previous cleaning experience (desirable)
  • Previous administration experience.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook Computer packages and Advanced Excel (or equivalent).
  • Must be competent in the English language both written and verbal

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.

Benefits & conditions

  • Rate of pay: £15.17 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off
  • Hours per week: 40 hours per week (paid break included)
  • Shift Timing: First two shifts at 05:00am to 13:30pm, Last two shifts at 13:30pm to 22:00pm - Example times below.
  • Weekly Pay (every Friday).
  • Temp to Perm (performance-based).
  • Free parking.
