Job description

  • Provide technical services to design, develop, enhance, and deploy a fully integrated ARCHIBUS environment. Ensure full compatibility between the COTS software structure, existing hardware, and NOAA’s active operating systems.
  • Build, implement, and maintain secure, custom software code that enables real-time or near real-time data exchanges. Leverage modern technologies such as event-driven architectures, APIs, and microservices.
  • Partner with agency stakeholders to establish an architectural roadmap that prioritizes new functionalities and provides a reliable, common data environment.
  • Architect detailed System Implementation Plans outlining the exact re-configuration, testing criteria, and legacy data transfers required for multiple regional sites. Ensure compatibility with legacy systems that will remain active post-implementation.
  • Lead technical tier support for the 16 previously deployed ARCHIBUS applications, overseeing massive software version upgrades, application component updates, and core infrastructure maintenance.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Senior leadership?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, E-Logic is seeking a highly skilled Principal System Engineer to oversee the complex systems integration, custom code development, and technical roadmap deployment for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) - Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO)’s enterprise-wide ARCHIBUS infrastructure. This critical role requires designing advanced data-sharing architectures-including APIs, microservices, and event-driven networks-to seamlessly connect legacy databases with newly implemented COTS applications across multiple regional federal tech environments., * Bachelor’s degree required ; an advanced degree or professional registration is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 20 years of hands-on experience in engineering and operations management at a senior level.
